What is the advantage of cold brew?

It's quite simple: around 70% less acid and bitter substances are dissolved than in coffee brewed with hot water. The taste is therefore very fruity and refreshing. By extracting in cold water, the time can also be extended quite easily, which means that the longer we extract the coffee, the more we literally get out of it.

Can I make cold brew at home?

Yes, of course you can. You will need:

100 to 150 grams of ground coffee / 1 liter of water / a suitable container / cling film

Recipe
1. Put the coffee in the container and pour the water on
2. Cover the container with cling film and place it in the refrigerator
3. Leave to extract for between 6 and 24 hours, 12 hours is optimal
4. Pour the whole thing through a hand filter with filter paper to filter out ground coffee

What is the best way to drink cold brew?

The best way to enjoy your cold brew is neat on ice or from the bottle (but chilled). You can also garnish it with a slice of orange or lemon. You can also use cold brew in cocktails, such as the Coffee Negroni, Espresso Martini and others. Cold brew also works well in non-alcoholic cocktails, such as a ginger cold brew mixed with ginger beer.

What is Nitro Coffee?

Nitro coffee is based on a cold brew. However, this is tapped, i.e. mixed with nitrogen. This changes the mouthfeel and taste of the cold brew. It becomes foamy, creamy and soft. Its appearance is also reminiscent of dark beer with foam, especially Guinness, which is why it is often served in a beer glass.
