  • About the coffee

    The Wamuguma Coffee Factory is affiliated with the Ritho Farmers' Cooperative Society. This cooperative is based in Gatundu, Kiambu County, and was founded in 1972. It produces exceptional coffee. Ritho FCS consists of nine oards and operates two factories, Wamaguma and Handege.

    After harvesting, all the coffee is delivered to the factory and processed using the wet processing method. There, it is depulped and tumbled. After depulping, the coffee is stored overnight, washed, soaked, and spread out on the drying tables. The parchment is then frequently turned on the drying tables, sorted, and stored until delivery to the mill.
