The man behind Wildkaffee Wien - Martin Wölfl
Behind the founding and management of Wildkaffee Wien is a familiar face in the global specialty coffee sector:
Martin Wölfl, 2024 World Champion. He looks forward to continuing to grow Wildkaffee Wien together with you.
While studying economics in 2016, Martin discovered his passion for coffee in the marketing department of a roastery. Fascinated by the subject, he deepened his knowledge through specialized literature, workshops, and courses.
He continued his career as a barista at the Balthasar Coffee Bar and later took on responsibility for roasting, product selection, marketing, and barista training at Öfferl Bakery and Coffee Roastery.
Martin expanded his expertise through numerous barista training courses in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, as well as through visits to coffee farms in El Salvador and Guatemala. Today, he shares his experience through workshops, training sessions, and talks.
He has also enjoyed success on the competitive stage: after securing podium finishes in 2019 and 2020, he won the Austrian Brewers Cup from 2021 to 2023. Internationally, he competed in world championships in Melbourne and Athens—and was ultimately crowned world champion in 2024.
