Casa Rojo - Machoman Magnum

Powerful red wine, are you macho enough?

Harvested by hand in mid-September, the Macho Man is a direct reflection of its homeland, the region between El Charche and La Pila in the DO Jumilla. It is aged for 4 months in wooden barrels and clay amphorae . A maximum of 103,000 bottles are produced from 13 vineyards.

The scent of red and dark berries is accompanied by thyme and rosemary and a smoky note. Refreshingly fruity at the beginning, it shows strong tannins with a mineral note and roasted aromas from the wooden barrels. The Machoman has outstanding storage potential.

  • About the wine

Here, 12 wine lovers from very different professions, such as oenologists, winemakers, designers and sales people, have come together to produce their own wines. The amazing thing is that no chaos was created, but rather authentic varietal wines with typical characters combined with creative, extravagant labels.

The cultivation, vinification and bottling of the wines takes place in the respective local wineries. They are then stored and sold in Murcia. Monastrell, Syrah, Grenache and Petit Verdot, for example, are grown on the edge of the majestic Sierra de la Pila. These are processed into Macho Man, Harú, Enemigo Mio and Minami.
