This Grüner Veltliner is made from a cuvée from the 2015 and 2017 vintages . The unfiltered wine is bottled without the addition of sulfur after at least 60 months of storage on the yeast. The taste of the Non Vintage is reminiscent of ripe fruit combined with grassy notes . A great example of what is possible with Grüner Veltliner.

  • About the winery

In Georg Nigl's winery, the wine is produced strictly according to organic principles. But "produce" is the wrong word; here the wine itself is allowed to decide what happens to it and when. In the Thermenregion, on the outskirts of Vienna, Georg Nigl works without pure yeast in the cellar and in the entire winery according to organic standards. This means, among other things, no use of pesticides, no chemical, technological or even mechanical intervention in the production of the wine. All of the characteristics of the vineyard and the environment of the vines, as well as the soil, are to be reproduced one-to-one.

All wines are fermented spontaneously with their own yeasts, bottled without filtration or sugaring, and not manipulated by the addition of sulphites. Even if the term natural wine does not officially exist, it is completely appropriate here. In addition, the sustainability of the winemakers' work is a priority. The Gemischter Satz Alte Reben and Orange Alte Reben wines come from vines that are over 50 years old.
