Recipes for New Year – Christmas coffee
What would Christmas/New Year's Eve be without a festive coffee? The warm aromas of this Christmas coffee are sure to fit your Christmas spirit. Perfect after a walk with the family or as a treat after dinner . We have several ideas for Christmas coffee to add extra flavor to your party or coziness. There are different flavors of Christmas coffee, but the one here contains delicious ingredients like cinnamon and orange. With this coffee you will surely experience a very tasty winter.
Christmas coffee – ingredients (for 4 coffees):
- 200 ml coffee – we recommend our Christmas Espresso
- 250 ml whipped cream
- 100 g chocolate for melting
- 1 whole cinnamon stick
- 1 vanilla pod
- 2 small star anise
- 1/2 slice dried orange
- 3 teaspoons orange peel
- Decoration: star anise, cinnamon stick, dried orange slice or grated chocolate
Christmas coffee – preparation:
- Melt chocolate in a water bath
- Prepare 200 ml of your favorite coffee
- Pour the coffee into a saucepan and add vanilla, cinnamon, star anise and dried orange. Simmer over low heat without boiling. This is the basis for your Christmas coffee!
- Divide the melted chocolate between 4 large glasses
- Remove the spices from the Christmas coffee mix
- Pour the coffee (without spices) into the glasses
- Whip the cream with the orange peel
- Add whipped cream to the coffee
- Decorate with spices or chocolate as desired

Coffee with mascarpone cream, almonds and amaretti – ingredients (for one cup)
- Favorite coffee prepared by us with mocha or espresso, depending on your preference
- a spoonful of mascarpone cream
- crumbled amaretti biscuits and almonds
Coffee with mascarpone cream, almonds and amaretti – Preparation:
- Mix mascarpone cream from fresh mascarpone, eggs and sugar
- Prepare a thin base of amaretti onto which you can pour the freshly brewed coffee
- Pour coffee
- Pour mascarpone cream over coffee
- Add crumbled amaretti and almonds as a topping
Recipes for New Year – Winter-spiced Kahlua
Mele Kalikimaka (a Christmas song by Bing Crosby) may be the right thing for a bright Hawaiian Christmas day, but Winter-spiced Kahlua is the perfect drink for the New Year ! This unique Christmas coffee drink combines the warmth of the holidays with the sweet and tropical notes of Kahlua and gives you an island vacation from the comfort of your couch!
Winter spiced Kahlua – Ingredients (for 6 people):
- 6 shots of Kahlua (approx. 4 cl per shot)
- 30 to 35 g coffee beans
- 120 ml cream
- 1 tablespoon sweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 10 crushed cardamom pods
- 2 teaspoons star anise
- 80 g icing sugar
- 80 g brown sugar
- approx. 500 ml water
Winter spiced Kahlua – Preparation:
- Mix the coffee beans, cardamom, star anise and water in a 1-litre saucepan and simmer on the stove until the mixture is reduced by about half. (You can also brew a filter coffee in the normal way and refine it with the spices)
- Beat the cream until soft. Add sugar and beat for another 2 to 3 minutes
- Divide the mixture from the pot and the cream into 6 cups
- Add 1 shot of Kahlua to each cup
- Garnish with cream, cocoa powder and cinnamon
By the way, if you still like the winter-spiced Kahlua If you want it a little stronger, you can enhance it with a good shot of vodka. Still tastes good!
