  • About the coffee

    Las Brujas Estate has become Kotowa's most prestigious coffee farm, known for its consistent excellence and multiple awards in the prestigious "Best of Panama" competition. Nestled in the Potrerillos region of Chiriquí Province, the estate benefits from a privileged high-altitude location with breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. During the rainy season, the mountains are often shrouded in a mysterious mist, which inspired the name "Las Brujas" (The Witches).
    Chakira is a new coffee variety that Kotowa has carefully selected from traditional Ethiopian varieties and now grows on her Las Brujas estate.

Prepare your K01 in the hand filter:

1. Insert the filter paper and then rinse the filter and cup/pot with hot water.

2. Put 17 g of coffee into the filter (grinding level: filter grind), pour in approx. 60 ml of water in circular movements and let it brew for approx. 30 seconds.

3. Then pour 60 ml until second 40

4. Add 50 ml to minute 1:20

5. Add remaining 100 ml until minute 2:00
