Kenya Washed AB

  • About the coffee

Kenya Washed AB is a specialty coffee from the Thageini Wet Mill in the Tetu district of Nyeri County, Kenya. Operated by the Aguthi Farmers Cooperative Society, the mill processes coffee cherries from approximately 450 smallholder farmers. These farmers cultivate Arabica varieties such as SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11, and Batian at altitudes between 1,650 and 1,800 meters above sea level. The coffee is processed using the full-wash method, in which the outer layers of the cherries are removed before drying. The result is a pure and vibrant coffee. The region's fertile volcanic soils, combined with optimal climatic conditions, contribute to the coffee's exceptional quality and distinctive flavor.
