Colombia Microlot

  • About the coffee

This coffee comes from the Campo Bello farm in San Agustín, Huila, and is grown by Don Orlando and his family. As a child, Orlando worked on his parents' coffee fields and, over decades, built up his own business with great dedication. Today, he runs the farm together with his wife Efigenia and the next generation of the family.

The coffee cherries are harvested over several days and then processed in a carefully orchestrated washed processing method. After controlled fermentation, the coffee is washed and gently dried in solar dryers for up to 20 days. The result is a coffee with a clear structure and a clean, expressive cup profile.

Through collaboration with the Monkaaba project and Semilla, Don Orlando now produces specialty coffee with full traceability – an important milestone for him and his family, and at the same time a recognition of their years of hard work in coffee cultivation.
