Colombia Pink Bourbon

  • About the coffee

    Sebastian Hoyos is a young producer in La Palmita, San Agustin, who, together with his brother German, mainly grows pink bourbon. His farm, El Estaroque, covers 4 hectares - 3 of which are planted with coffee at an altitude of 1,730-1,830 m.
    His journey began in elementary school, when he had to alternate picking coffee and going to school. After years of working as a picker, he and his brother were able to acquire land and start growing coffee. In 2019, they decided to experiment with Pink Bourbon, a variety suited to colder climates and higher quality cups.

Prepare your Colombia Pink Bourbon in a hand filter:

1. Insert the filter paper and then rinse the filter and cup/pot with hot water.

2. Put 20 g of coffee into the filter (grinding level: filter grind), pour in approx. 60 ml of water in circular movements and let it brew for approx. 30 seconds.

3. Add the remaining 240 ml of water slowly and constantly in circular movements.

4. The brewing process should last between approximately 2:30-3 minutes.
